The model and actress now lives with Samantha, their dog (above) and Olivia. Ann Turkel's former husband Richard Harris has passed away after only 8 years of marriage and 20 years of divorce. Turkel was a Jewish girl who was raised within Manhattan and born into a middle-class Jewish family, had already had a degree from Sanford Meisner and Philip Burton at the age of 16. The actress has always been talented at entertaining. Ann started taking dance classes at age five, and her studies in the arts continued through college. Her mother is acknowledged for helping her develop creative skills. Ann has studied voice as well as dancing and acting since her early childhood. Ann was a student and voice at the Neighborhood Playhouse and Musical Theatre Academy alongside Sandy Meisner, Philip Burton and other prominent instructors before she was sixteen. Ann began singing in high school with other students and created the group. The Pajama Game", and West Side Story, were two of the summer productions she did at Berkshire Playhouse Stockbridge Massachusetts. It was while performing in her band for an evening of fashion shows when Ann was found by Gloria Schiff an editor at Vogue Magazine. In just a couple of weeks and a half, the editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland commissioned Ann to shoot her first Vogue Cover featuring photographer Richard Avedon. Then Ann was one of the desired models in America, landing on the cover of the top fashion magazines, including Vogue Bazaar and Cosmopolitan among several others. Ann began her international career with Europe as well as Japan following her modeling stint for Max Factor Revlon.
